About Joseph Pearson

As Senior Writer and Editor at The American University of Paris, I develop and ensure consistent implementation of the University's style guide while steering editorial strategy and producing written content for both print and online materials, including the alumni magazine. I also have additional responsibilities relating to strategic narrative direction and crisis communications. As Community Builder at Plume Labs, I helped foster an active community of eco-ambassadors through strong communications, creating content across a wide variety of channels to help spread their vision of making the air we breathe more transparent. As Editor of the English language version of cafebabel.com, a multilingual, online magazine aimed at a European youth audience, I contributed content and commissioned and edited incoming submissions. The role involved managing a community of contributors and translators, while maintaining the day-to-day management of the site and social media feeds. I hold an MSc in Media, Communications and Development alongside a BSc in Environmental Policy from which I graduated with first class honours.
