As a highly experienced High School Technology and Engineering Education teacher, I have spent the last decade working with students as a woodworking and cabinetmaking instructor. My passion for digital fabrication and design for manufacturing has led me to develop and implement hands-on projects that showcase the limitless potential of technology. With my expertise in solid modeling and computer-aided machining, I have become a valuable resource for students and colleagues alike, providing safe and effective guidance for the implementation of cutting-edge technologies in the classroom. My passion for woodworking and cabinetmaking began when I was a student in my own technology education classes. It was here that I first discovered my love for hands-on learning and honed my skills through years of experience. The process of bringing a project from its initial design phase to a finished product still brings me immense joy, and I hope to pass on these technical skills and abilities to my students. I believe that these skills are crucial for anyone looking to thrive in today's workforce. I am a dedicated team player who prioritizes program advancement and always strives to make decisions that benefit our program as a whole. The achievements of my students, including a state-level cabinetmaking victory in SkillsUSA and a subsequent appearance at the national SkillsUSA competition in Georgia, are a testament to the effectiveness of my approach. With my strong work ethic, technical skills, and unwavering dedication to my students, I hope to inspire future generations of technology and engineering students to find their own passions and make their own impact in technology related careers.
