About Joseph Previte

Moving from a small town in Ohio to South Korea was one of the most impactful decisions of my life. I knew no one, could not speak the language, and was in every way out of my comfort zone. For three years, I learned how to find myself lost with intention and how to redirect confusion into reliance on strangers. It was an experience which has established within me a precedent for living with respect, and building the courage to overcome any obstacle using critical thinking and problem-solving. I am a person who values taking the time to see things from multiple perspectives. Returning to the States, and in particular Washington DC, has been a challenge in and of itself. It is one that has allowed me to demonstrate a personal philosophy of perseverance to accomplish my goals thoughtfully and methodically in all areas of my life. I believe living abroad has allowed me to approach life in my own country differently, in a manner where I am able to ask better questions to understand how other people communicate and how I am understood in return. No matter the situation, I am a person who strives to embody respect as the highest priority in both my personal and professional lives.
