About Joseph Reich

Joseph Reich is a graduate of Arizona State University where his passion is supply chain management. This appeals to me because the field is fast-paced and always changing and there is always room for the improvement of any firm’s current performance. The technological aspects of supply chain especially interest me because programs like O9 and Kinaxis allow you to effectively and efficiently pinpoint deficiencies in a firm’s supply chain (i.e, less time, fewer steps in the process, stronger relationships with key players in the process, etc.). One subject that interests him is how conscious, preconscious, and subconscious bias within data creation and manipulation and how it affects subsequent measurements and assessments during the decision-making process. Additionally, though programs like O9 and Kinaxis are designed to reduce bias, there is also the potential for bias in the subsequent measurement and assessment of the output of the programs, especially for qualitative/subjective versus quantitative/objective data. This interest has led Joseph to research this field where he has had two papers accepted at international business conferences (presented as poster sessions - ICHRIE [International Council of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Educators] and the US-China Cultural Exchange International Poster Fair.) Joseph transferred to Arizona State University from the University of Arizona honors college to study supply chain management where the major is generally ranked in the top five SCM programs in the U.S. Joseph prides himself on being a quick and adept learner, continuously building upon my technological and operational skills.
