In my academic pursuits and my extracurricular activities I have sought to build bridges between cultures, relying on understanding of cultural value differences and broadening the cohesion between seemingly disparate groups. I'm fluent in Persian (Tajik and Iranian Persian) and German, and have studied these various cultures for years. My research has focused on second language education using modern technology, minority and endangered language revitalization policy and ideologies, and critical pedagogy in Central Asia. I'm always happy to discuss any of these research topics, as well as help in any way I can to continue to further cross-cultural understanding.
