About Joseph Robillard

I take pride in being a member of a team that makes a difference in the lives of people who need a difference. I strive to always communicate the hope I have for the people we serve. I've connected with people who cope with very severe and persistent mental illnesses to assist them in accomplishing the goals they had identified to improve their lives. I've listened to angry youth express their frustrations and assisted them to find hope through focusing on their responsibility and ability to make the future what they want it to be. I've collaborated with supervisors and peers to interpret the behaviors of our consumers and develop plans we would follow for their benefit. I believe in a holistic approach to treating mental illness and preserving mental health. I encourage adequate rest, a good diet, exercise, creativity, recreation, the development of coping skills and expressiveness. I'm currently working as an intern at Tri-County Mental Health Services Crises Intervention Team. I'm gaining the skills and credentials to work as a Crises Services Provider as well as a respect for the power to impact the lives of the people we serve.
