About Joseph Stevens

I got my undergraduate degree from the University of Montana in MIS and then went on to get my MBA from UM as well. I worked for three years as an IT technician for the University of Montana. In this time, I learned how to troubleshoot computer software and hardware. I also acquired the knowledge of how information systems and networks get implemented, maintained, and updated within an organization. In addition, I learned how to communicate technical information in an easy-to-digest manner so as always to keep customers informed. After completing my undergraduate degree I got offered an IT Manager position in the College of Business at the University of Montana. In this role I have learned how to do scheduling, manage employees, and maintain a tight budget while meeting and exceeding all of the responsibilities that I had as a technician. I also handle email and intranet accounts for the College of Business which honed my skills with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Security Groups, and PowerShell. As the IT manager, I also did the technical setup for special programs such as VITA. I was also responsible for setting up and implementing a remote scheduling software for the VITA program. After being IT Manager for two years I went on to become the Director of IT for the Law School at the University of Montana. I was then offered a Service Manager role at Alter Enterprise which then turned into Fisher's Technology which is where I have been for the last 3 years.
