About Joseph Thames

I am currently the NPDES Coordinator for Pinellas County. Through my career I have gained experience in water quality standards and management, NPDES regulations, hazardous waste and materials management, jurisdictional waters delineation, regulatory permitting, erosion control plan drafting and reviewing, NPDES public outreach, and program management. During my professional career I have attained numerous certifications including a professional certification in erosion and sediment control. I am self motivated and complete tasks well on my own; however, I am a positive leader and motivator in a team atmosphere. I maintain a strong work ethic and achieve high levels of organization in order to manage my duties successfully. My personality and networking skills allow for open communication amongst my peers to achieve numerous goals within a given time. I am fluent in numerous computer programs including Microsoft Office and ArcGIS.
