The Allen Research Group focuses on a wide range of topics within Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. Our work includes developing bioactive biomaterials, particularly “personalized biomaterials” tailored to individual patients’ biological factors. We emphasize sex-based differences in cell-material interactions. Additionally, we are involved in creating DNA-based technologies, from using DNA for cell signaling to incorporating it into hydrogel formulations. Finally, we explore cellular mechanobiology under dynamic conditions, such as microgravity in space.
