About Josette Turro

Josette Turro (preferred name: Joey) holds a B.A. from Alfred University where she doubled majored in History and Global Studies and minored in German and Anthropology. Her German language skills are at intermediate to advanced level. In addition, she received a M.A degree in European History from Monmouth University. Her MA thesis passed with distinction. She took two doctoral courses in the fall/spring 2013/2015 at the Ph.D. level in European History at Marquette University. She hopes to eventually publish her MA thesis. Joey worked as a graduate assistant for Mommouth University where she helped professors with their research. She has previously worked for Replacements and More, Inc. where she priced goods for insurance companies that were damaged from fires, floods, and other incidents. At this position, she worked closely with both the insurance companies and the insured. Prior to that, while she was at Alfred University, she worked at the Information Desk in the Center for Student Involvement Office. She assisted students, faculty, and the community with their various needs which included phone calls and campus information. For five years, she lived near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She worked for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee at the Milwaukee County Zoo as a Data Entry and Membership Assistant. While living in WI, she volunteered in the archives at the Jewish Museum and took two history graduate courses at Marquette University. She also has previously worked as a Job Coach with Goodwill Industries, assisting those with disabilities at their place of employment then as a retail Sales Associate at Kohl's. She worked for Advantech Manufacturing as a Sales and Customers Service Assistant in New Berlin, WI. Lastly, Joey currently lives in Fernaninda Beach, FL and worked at Omni Hotel & Resorts at Amelia Island as a Sales Administrative Assistant. She has started a new journey with the Ritz-Carlton as a Sales Coordinator in July 2022.
