About Josh Abbott

I have been managing product development for 20 years, initially as a mechanical design and project engineer before joining Tangent’s management team in 2012. I have been involved in technology and product development from napkin sketch to market adoption at scale across many industries, from medtech to cleantech, with the goal of creating powerful teams that are aligned to deliver impactful products that improve our world. I really get a kick out of seeing skilled and aligned teams working together to solve big challenges. Creating new products and new technologies is not easy, but with the right team, processes, and strategies great outcomes are possible. Outside of work I keep on my toes at home with a wife, two kids, two cats, and always something to fix. In my spare time I enjoy working on my cars, anything to do with baseball, reading non-fiction or biographies, and I'm also excited to start a new hobby this year – flying remote control airplanes.
