About Josh Artman
Hi there! My name is Josh Artman. I'm a video engineer and artist living in Allston, Massachusetts. By day, I'm the station manager and all-around cable guy at Cambridge Community Television. In 2023 I became Certified as a Television Operator (CTO) by the Society of Broadcast Engineers. I got my start in video in 2020, producing a daily Twitch livestream of a sports talk radio show. For the past five years I've also hosted the weekly "FUZZED OUT" local rock show on WZBC-Newton 90.3 FM, currently on Fridays at 5pm. At night, I project analog video art onto screens and stages as a co-founder of Digital Awareness. DA is a five-person collective of local video artists and creatives. We make our visuals live in conjunction with live music, usually bands. In spring 2024, DA traveled to Austin, Texas to perform in 3 unofficial SXSW showcases. In 2023, we performed 50 times – everywhere from neighborhood basements and bars, to larger ticketed venues such as Paradise Rock Club and the Crystal Ballroom. Founded in my basement in 2021.
