About Josh Bierle

As a manager of an ERP system at a Fortune 25 company, a strong focus on growth and expansion has been a “must have” for many years. That mindset, on such a large scale, has led to experiences that have helped shape my career and skill set. Although it’s ever evolving, at the end of the day, the objective has always been the same: “Use technology to solve business problems with innovative solutions.” With that objective always first and foremost in my mind, my team supports our Corporate Finance organizations; ensuring operations run as smoothly as possible. The primary system that lies within our scope includes Oracle PeopleSoft ERP with a high volume of integrations with external systems. While my passion is in being a product owner that focuses on solving problems with technology, my team provides a full gamut of services to finance areas as they relate to the tools. As many would expect, that list is long and ever changing, but a few key areas we focus on with a SDLC mindset include: • Core system support and maintenance • System enhancements, upgrades, and data integrations • Large-scale business to systems integrations with a multitude of acquisitions and divestitures • New system implementations • Roadmapping, Release Planning, and Project Management • Audit support with additional focus on SOX controls and compliance Finally, I’m a strong believer that a leader is only as good as the team they support, and the individuals they surround themselves with. As someone who started as an entry-level analyst, I make a conscious effort to focus on employee engagement, personal and professional development/training, and empowering others to achieve their goals.
