About Josh Chartrand

Josh's career within Edmonton Public Schools includes being both a junior and senior high English Language Arts teacher with 3 years of experience as English Department Head at the senior high level. Her classroom has been open to study by those working on their Masters of Education degrees, and a learning lab for other senior high teachers interested in adopting writing and reading workshop practices. She is currently focused on integrating art, critical thinking processes, and social-emotional learning in her practice, as well as continuing to decolonize the workshop model and assessment practices to create a more inclusive and equitable environment for all students.
