Starting at the bottom, he worked his way up to a senior level management position - overseeing all on-air content and personnel as the Program Director. He also became a member of the University of Miami football broadcast team, first as the studio host and then moving into a role as the sideline reporter, where he will be entering his 12th season in 2022. It is here he met Don Bailey, Jr- who also has been a part of the UM broadcast team - working with Darrow on pre-game and post-game shows and also serving as the color analyst. They have worked together for 19 years, developing a friendship but also an understanding of each other - what they value, how they think, where they focus, etc. So, with no experience in the flooring business, Bailey hired Darrow to a position as Vice President of Business Development and Customer Relations. Why? First and foremost, Bailey TRUSTED him. Second, he knew Darrow had plenty of management and creative skills in his background. Third, he was making an investment in his family’s company. Darrow’s responsibilities will be to oversee and manage the sales pipeline, raise the level of customer service, and launch campaigns of social media to raise the corporate profile of Don Bailey Flooring.
