About Josh Diamond

I’ve been building things on the web since I was a teenager, first for fun, then for clients, and now for organisations that make a real difference. As Founder of Platform, I help charities, nonprofits, and purpose-led organisations create digital experiences that actually work, websites and web applications that save time, raise funds, and make it easier for teams to do more good. I started out as a developer, leading web and app projects at two agencies before taking the leap at 21 to start my own. Like most founders, I’ve learned by doing. I’ve built teams, rebranded a business, survived a pandemic, launched a holiday cottage agency start-up, and learned when to pivot and focus. That focus, on bespoke websites and web apps, became Platform as it is today: a Manchester-based team of designers, developers, and strategists who care deeply about what they build and who they build it for. Over nine years, we’ve delivered award-winning work for clients including Scouts, NHS, The Mission to Seafarers, ProDec, and Smile Kitchens. We’ve also built two products of our own: Scout Websites, now used by over five million people a year, as well as the leading event management platform for Scouts and Girlguiding. Outside work, I volunteer for the Scouts as a member of the County Team in Cheshire, leading on both communications and large-scale event management, an experience that continues to shape how I lead and think about community.
