About Josh Hall

Have worked in the Geotechnical Engineering and Materials testing industry for the last 17 years as a Geotechnical Engineer. My experience in Geotechnical Design includes providing recommendations for structures, pavements, retaining walls, slope stability, towers, earth retention, sub drainage systems, and seismic considerations. My projects have included pavement design, retaining wall evaluation and design of deep and shallow foundations for residential, commercial, industrial, schools, hospitals, parking garages, and transportation. I have extensive experience in the field of expansive soils, foundation design including in-situ chemical and lime stabilization, and water injection procedures. I have performed forensic and distress evaluations with remedial construction recommendations. For the last 3 years I was the Special Project Manager over the TXDOT DFW Connector Project in Grapevine, Texas, which includes the FM2499 and Stone Myers Parkway extensions. During this time I was also the Laboratory P.E. over laboratory testing and field testing activities. The two extensions are highway improvement projects that includes construction of new highways, continued reinforced concrete pavement, bridges, foundations, signage, lighting, drainage, MSE walls, soil nail walls and utilities. My duties for these projects include review of all laboratory testing and all field testing such as soil densities and stabilization, concrete testing, and concrete steel reinforcing inspection. All field and lab testing on this project were entered and reviewed using PSI’s QESTLab and QESTField programs, and uploaded to the TxDOT I2MS system as well as Construction Hive and Northgate's Sharepoint site. As manager I would oversee daily operations which included overseeing subcontractors, scheduling personnel, billing and collections.
