About Josh Jordan

After completing a college degree in IT Management and Computer Repair, I worked for RTS UK which provided technical support for one of the UK's leading restaurant chains. The role involved me providing over the phone technical support to restaurant staff. 18 months into my tenure at RTS UK I decided to leave to undertake a Computer Science degree at Aberystwyth University. I achieved a solid 2:1 where I specialized in Java/Android programming as well as Web Design. My dissertation project involved creating an Android based game that would use Darwin's theory of evolution along with some genetic algorithms to make the game's AI grow and change based on the user's playstyle. While at University I helped create a fundraising group called Full Restore. Each year we would play Pokémon for 4 days to raise money for the Red Cross International Disaster fund. We ran the event three times, and over that time we have managed to raise over Each time we ran the event. it received various recognitions via different celebrities and online magazines such as The Escapist. After Uni I joined Digital Health and Care Wales's (DHCW) Integration Services (INSE) team. For nearly 10 years I worked on solving complex healthcare integration problems for both national and local systems. Towards the end of my tenure with DHCW, I moved more into a design role for the team where I would ensure the best enterprise integration patterns were being implemented across the portfolio that INSE looked after.
