Extensive experience in laboratory quality management (NATA accredited to ISO 17025), coordination of field work operations, chemical analysis, customer engagement and publication/communication to stakeholders.Responsible for coordination of remote area field work campaigns, both domestically and internationally, engaging with clients to ensure timely and highly relevant results. Preparation of scientific and technical reports to variety of external clients from ASX listed companies, regulatory bodies and government agencies.Research interests have focussed in the transport and fate of inorganic contaminants in environmental systems. These include development of new analytical methods for seawater analysis, effects of deep-sea tailings disposal on metal contamination, examination of soil and water quality impacts of hydraulic fracturing of Coal Seam Gas (CSG) wells and assessment and characterisation of flowback waters from Shale Gas wells.Instrumental expertise includes ICP-MS, ICP-AES, CV-AFS, GC-CV-AFS, UV-VIS, TOC, HPLC, sample digestions and discrete analyser. Specialised analytical expertise includes ultra-trace metals analysis (solvent extraction and solid-phase extraction), metal speciation analysis and high-pressure reactions.
