About Josh Larsen

I currently love working at Zendesk as a Business Development Representative (BDR). In this role, I’m constantly improving my skills as a salesperson by creating new business connections, staying engaged with current customers, and learning from my talented team members. The fast-paced, customer-focused environment at Zendesk has provided me with invaluable experience in relationship-building and sales strategy, which I’m excited to continue honing as I grow in my career. I recently graduated from Chico State (Spring 2024) with a degree in Digital Audio Music (Music is my passion). My career journey has been diverse, starting from high school and spanning various industries, all of which have contributed to my strong work ethic and adaptability. My professional experience began at Diamond Arrow Christian Conference Center, where I worked in multiple roles, including lifeguard, maintenance person, and cook. This foundation in customer service and teamwork shaped my approach to problem-solving and collaboration. I then transitioned to valet service at Edgewood Resort in Lake Tahoe while attending Tahoe Community College. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I took a gap year and worked as a Yard Manager and Heavy Machinery Operator at Soil Brokers, a landscape materials yard. This role sharpened my leadership and operational skills as I coordinated deliveries, oversaw site activities, and helped manage large-scale projects, including a delivery. I returned to school at Chico State to continue my studies in Digital Audio Music, where I gained hands-on experience with DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations), live performance recording, and sound engineering. I mastered the use of professional tools like the Duality Selta SSL console, Logic Pro X, and Pro Tools, and developed a strong foundation in composing, recording, and producing music. In 2022, I expanded my technical skills by joining Capital Live Scan as a Mobile Fingerprinting Technician, and I further honed my hands-on abilities as a Stage Hand at Laxon, helping set up performances and managing the technical aspects of live events, from microphones to cameras and lighting.
