About Josh Mandoli

I believe that I have taken the appropriate steps to properly build a set of skills that would be valuable to your company. During my time at Washington State University I have had the opportunity to take many intriguing courses related to electrical engineering and computer science. I have decided to focus on the study of power systems, concentrating on generation and transmission. Throughout these courses, I have had numerous opportunities to work alongside my peers in order to design, experiment, and test various circuits and systems. Working in a team environment both in and outside of the classroom allowed me to gain experience working in a team environment while also building a foundational knowledge of electrical power systems.In order to gain more hands-on job experience, I worked as an electrician’s apprentice for two summers at Beckstead Electric in Wenatchee, WA. This position allowed me to gain work experience relative not only to my major, but to this particular job itself. After working at Beckstead, I accepted a position to work as an electrical engineering student for the Chelan County PUD. While at the district, I have been involved in the rehabilitation effort of several hydro-generating units at Rock Island Dam. This position has allowed me to work under the leadership of many experienced engineers and professionals during the rehabilitation and commissioning of two 57 MW bulb hydro-generating units.
