About Josh Mark

Mr. Joshua F. Mark is the Director of Engineering, Propulsion Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. He is responsible for leading the technical execution of propulsion system development, acquisition, fielding, sustainment, and modernization across the Air Force to ensure warfighter readiness, affordability, safety, and effectiveness needs are met. He leads over 200 engineers managing more than engines installed on over 30 different weapon systems in support of the U.S. Air Force and 51 international partners. Mr. Mark is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF Reserves where he is currently assigned to the Science & Technology (S&T) Management Division for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Science, Technology, and Engineering, Washington D.C. He serves as the Deputy Division Chief, leading a 22-member Headquarters Air Force division directing a $2.5B annual S&T portfolio to meet CSAF priorities and warfighter capability requirements. Mr. Mark earned his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Detachment 643, Wright State University, Dayton, OH. He has served both on Active Duty, Reserve, and as a Civilian within Acquisition, Intelligence, and Air Staff with a breadth of experience from Development Planning to Sustainment on various systems to include air vehicles, propulsion, and space. Additionally, he is completing his Doctor of Philosophy in Systems Engineering through the USAF’s premiere STEM+M program. Mr. Mark and his beautiful wife Sarah have five precious daughters, Anna, Ellie, Mandy, Abby and Emmy and now resides back in Cedarville, OH, where he and his wife originally met.
