About Josh Matte

I am a Ministry Leadership student at Emmaus Bible College. I am the Captain of the men's soccer team. I am married to my wife Kaitlin, who teaches me everyday what it means to serve God. I have served in many leadership roles at Emmaus including: Student Union Event Coordinator, Marketing Director, and Vice-President as of this year. I am also the Intramural Director. In my senior year of Highschool at Maranatha Christian Academy I received the Joshua Athletic Award, as well as the Timothy servant award. I was a recent recipient of the Daniel H. Smith Servant Leadership Award at Emmaus Bible College. This is given to a student who serves whole heartedly, and lives out their ministry on campus. I have played soccer my entire life. I have a passion for soccer and for coaching, and using those as vehicles to glorify God through Discipleship and Christmanship. Through Emmaus Soccer I have won 3 All-Region First Team recognitions as well as two 1st Team Conference recognitions and one 2nd Team All-Conference recognitions. I was the recipient of the 2023 Kyle Rote Jr. Award for NCCAA D2 Men's soccer. This award is given to a student athlete who exemplifies Christian character and pursues excellence in all areas of life, through service, athletics, and academics.
