As a dedicated urban planning professional with a rich tapestry of experiences, I am committed to fostering sustainable and inclusive communities. My journey began in the serene Outer Banks of North Carolina, where the unique blend of history and natural beauty ignited my passion for thoughtful city development. After a successful 20-year tenure in the restaurant industry, I returned to academia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in City and Regional Planning from UNC-Chapel Hill. This academic pursuit, complemented by hands-on roles in local and regional government, has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of both developmental and long-term planning facets. In my current role as Planner II for the Town of Morrisville, I manage complex development applications, facilitate stakeholder communications, and lead initiatives on affordable housing and zoning regulations. My approach is characterized by empathy, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all residents. My deep-rooted connection to Morrisville, where my family resides and my children attend local schools, fuels my dedication to the community's growth and well-being.
