About Josh Misner

Despite more than 20 years of scholarship, 30 years of unusually diverse experiences, and a curiosity for the transformative power of connection, it's still hard to write a personal summary but here we are. Ask colleagues, clients, former students, or a few random Uber drivers who were unwittingly lured into a deep philosophical dialogue amid LAX traffic purgatory, the talents they'd likely mention would include keen observation, mindful listening, or an uncanny knack for extracting patterns leading to new insights or creative ideas. They might also just tell you I talk a lot and tell funny stories, but either outcome is merely a different route to the same destination. To paraphrase an arachnid superhero's late uncle, I always use my creative skills responsibly, discerning meaningful content among noise and use it to construct messages that have the power to transform, inspire, educate, and connect. I've also been known to leverage such an annoyingly colorful and convoluted lexicon to compose much simpler and more parsimonious messages such as the one that summarizes my work philosophy below: I love what I do and it shows.
