About Josh Moffett

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician at the Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute, I ensure the safety and functionality of medical equipment in 8 OR’s, 21 Pre-Op/PACU Bays, a 17 bed Inpatient Unit, a Pain Clinic, Urgent Care and 10 off-site Physical Therapy clinics. In April 2021, I helped establish the Biomedical Engineering department at KCOI, which pushed me to strengthen and broaden my knowledge of Healthcare Technology Management beyond my experience at the technician level. Since then, it’s been my pleasure to grow in this role where I get to assist in providing excellent patient outcomes while ensuring the Biomed department operates in compliance with ACHC standards. I am always eager to learn new technologies and skills, and to collaborate with other professionals in the field. I enjoy serving on the board of the HTMA Midwest and am grateful to be part of the awesome HTM community here in Kansas City.
