About Josh Nelson

I am a highly motivated worker, with good leadership skills, and past internship experience. I learn things rather quickly and have a deep passion for network administration. I am attempting to get as many certifications as I can. I have a passion for network administration I can find problems with BIOS configuration on tablets, laptops, and computers. I am also adept with managing virtual machines, and I am starting to learn Linux. My training and education at MTCHS have helped me hone my technical skills, and I have become a much more effective communicator. The personal and workplace skills training has allowed me to learn many valuable things, and made me be more outgoing, and get me more confident in situations that I previously wouldn’t. I learn very quickly from my mistakes, and as such gained a brutal efficiency in finding problems and deploying solutions. I feel that my occupational goals would be to complete all the CompTIA exams, to certify myself further, and to become a more effective business communicator. I like the aspect of finding out how things work. I feel that my hunger for knowledge, and my desire to learn how things work made me gravitate toward network administration. My hobbies are important to me, as they allow me time to settle and relax. My hobbies are automotive mechanics, electrical, and penetration testing/cybersecurity. Automotive I feel is my favorite hobby. I have done all maintenance and repairs on my own cars, which were all quite boring vanilla vehicles, so I am hoping to get a more interesting new project car soon. In 5 years, I would like to have a good job, and be working on college. I plan to get a master’s degree, and try and get my own home. I feel after I complete my degree, I would like to go to law school and study to become a prosecutor.
