About Josh Ryan

I am a student at Northeastern University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. Music and persuasion were my first loves. All throughout high school, I thought my destiny was law school, even captaining my school mock trial team for two years. That was until I learned that the actual job description of being a lawyer entails a lot less in court performance than I would have liked. Since attending Northeastern I have learned a lot about myself and what gives me purpose in this world. No matter where I end up, or what I end up doing, I am dedicated to making real and positive change in this world and improving the lives of as many people possible. For my first co op I was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work at BNY Mellon and learn from many amazing mentors. My role at Mellon was split between the product strategy team and the relationship management team. Throughout my 6 months, I worked on multiple projects with the hope of improving the existing relationship management ecosystem and increasing sales traffic towards the small and smid cap growth products. For my second co op I worked at State Street on the Alpha Commercialization team. Throughout my 6 months I assisted in working towards the goal of building up SST’s Alpha platform through leveraging strategic partnerships and internal insights. Most notably I helped lead the teams blockchain research initiative, driving insights as to how SST can best leverage the revolutionary innovation. I am a passionate and enthusiastic ball of energy and am always looking for new ways to challenge my brain and better provide for the world around me. As for my love for music.well you will just have to wait and see what else I got up my sleeve
