About Josh Ryan

I fell in love with video games early in life playing on both PC and console. After finishing a degree in philosophy I started multiple companies in a variety of different areas, but struggled with the lack of creative expression they offered. Outside of business most of my free time revolved around gaming and running large competitive guilds. Following the rise of Unity and Unreal, I decided to bite the bullet and learn programming so I could give game design a shot. I quickly realized my philosophy and deductive logic background provided a solid foundation for developing creative solutions to game design problems. I finally found the vocation that offered the creativity and challenge I so desperately needed. I love how fluid and evolving the world of game development is, you're constantly pushing yourself to learn new skills. Tapping into my philosophy degree and heavy psychology background in order to understand player needs is endlessly interesting. I hope to continue creating memorable experiences for players as I refine my game design abilities through hard work and insatiable curiosity.
