PGY1 Hospital pharmacy residency BCPS certification Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Program (STLP) certified Experience in clinical management and protocol/policy development Worked in varied health settings with hospital emphasis Following completion of my pharmacy studies I expanded my clinical understanding of pharmacy and developed an appreciation for interdisciplinary collaborative care teams through a PGY1 hospital residency and BCPS accredidation. I began my career as a staff pharmacist with Norton Healthcare and soon advanced to the role of Clinical Coordinator of Pharmacy services. Unfortunate life events mandated a change of location and I spent the next 10 months traveling South America with little more than a dictionary, a backpack, and a smile. Later while resettling in Kentucky I worked multiple pharmacist roles (LTAC, independent retail, LTC) as a contract pharmacist and was exposed to multiple health care software packages. I also started an ED pharmacy program from the ground up at a regional hospital and facilitated the transition as they went live with Medhost, while at the same time learning the inpatient pharmacy software that was changed to HMS. I returned as a clinical pharmacist at Norton Hospital and immediately upon my return was trained for our update to the EPIC system. After experiencing multiple systems upgrades and transitions to different software packages as well as operating short term with multiple systems while contracting I have become very interested in the development and implementation of HIT within our current health system. I am interested in discovering a REMOTE operation that could utilize someone with my varied clinical background and software exposure to assist with design, development, updating, and implementation of new health technologies.
