About Josh Trapp

Josh Trapp has over 15 years of industry experience. An investor in community depositories, Josh also has the perspective of an owner and manager in the depository space. Josh holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, where he was a three-year starter for the intercollegiate football team. His professional licenses include the General Securities Representatives Exam (Series 7) and Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam (Series 63). Prior to joining the Institutional Sales Group (2008), Josh worked as a municipal bond trader and underwriter at Raymond James. A U.S. Military Veteran, Josh’s time on that desk was interrupted by an 18-month deployment for Operation Iraqi Freedom ending in July 2007. During deployment, Josh commanded over 200 combat missions compiling 600 plus hours of combat time in an AH64A Apache Helicopter. Prior to his departure from the military he held the rank of Captain and was last assigned to the 154th Regimental Training Institute which shapes future leaders for the Army National Guard. As a member of the Institutional Sales Group at Raymond James, Josh specializes in servicing bank customers through the development and implementation of specific strategic investment plans. His “risk first approach” helps focus ideas on yield enhancement opportunities while remaining vigilant about changes in within the market. Josh is able to execute trades in mortgage-backed, municipal, taxable municipals, agency CMBS, government and corporate securities. Whole Loans are also a focus opportunity for depository customers.
