About Josh Yee

In 2017, I left my 9-5 desk job to pursue freelance work in photography and videography. After building my own brand with over followers on Instagram, working with various companies and brands, I decided to look toward another direction in life. The lockdowns of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic had me thinking a lot about my career and what I wanted to pursue. I’ve always been interested in programming ever since high school. During college, I created projects with HTML, CSS and some Wordpress. Ultimately after several months of thinking and researching, I decided to dive head first into the world of tech and started my self-learning journey in August 2020. From there I took various courses using Team Treehouse, Harvard's CS50x, The Odin Project, Scrimba, and Full Stack open from the University of Helsinki. Ever since then, there's been no turning back and I have been on the a journey to become a full time Software Engineer! I have background in HTML, CSS, React, Redux, Responsive Design, Javascript, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Heroku, Netlify, Git, Github, VS Code, NPM, Webpack, Postman, Jest, MacOS, Linux, Adobe CC, and Figma.
