About Joshua Billman

I am an electrical engineering professional with 12+ years of experience working with a diverse group of clients such as oil and gas organizations, power generation facilities and private industry. My career focus has centered around, and I am routinely consulted on, power engineering issues, short circuit & arc flash studies, protection coordination and relay settings. I am presently seeking employment. I have been assigned to a variety of high-profile domestic and international assignments and have acquired an extensive amount of experience working with some of the largest power producers in the world; offering on-site project management in international locations such as Africa and South America and domestic locations such as Alaska. In 2006, I graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. I obtained my degree while working full-time. I have since co-authored a paper titled, “The Effects of System Grounding, Bus Insulation and Probability of Arc Flash Hazard Reduction- This Missing Links,” which was presented at the 2012 PCIC. My real-world experiences, combined with my educational background, give me an exceptional understanding of power systems and a unique perspective into the importance of creating engineering solutions, collaborating with clients, mitigating risk, ensuring safety protocols are met or exceeded and managing/responding to industrial power emergency situations if they arise.
