About Joshua Blank

In short: I get the job done, the odder the better, and exceed expectations. I served for 6 years as a nuclear-trained mechanic on board the submarine USS RHODE ISLAND. While in this position I learned many nuclear and mechanical engineering principles and fundamentals. My greatest interest and skill is the preparation of Maintenance Procedures using available technical drawings and documentation. This led me into the field of Quality Assurance, which I excelled at and became the Assistant Quality Assurance Coordinator for my submarine. In this position I supervised many work items, trained the crew, and led teams to complete work items on time with first-time quality. I attended Florida State University for Mechanical Engineering on Uncle Sam's dime and graduated in May 2021 with a 3.994 GPA. I got straight A's except for an A- in World Geography in my first semester. Since I made the mistake of graduating during The Pandemic, the only work I could find was in the healthcare industry. I worked for 2 years as an Epic TS doing literally everything possible to solve the problems our end users encountered/created. In July 2023 I took the opportunity to move my father-in-law into my house and provide in-home hospice care. The three months that we got to spend with him were incredible, challenging, and life-changing.
