About Joshua Bowmaker

After serving in the British armed forces and numerous years as a scaffolder/HGV driver I decided to change career path and pursue a rewarding career in transport. I am currently a regional transport manager working within the clinical waste environment servicing multiple NHS trusts. As a Transport Manager I aid in delivering cost effective and compliant transport operations. I develop the transport function and plan, co-ordinate, supervise, and report upon the work activities within the Transport Operation; providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training and development in such a way that the operational effectiveness of the business is maintained, and that all daily targets are met. Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislative and corporate requirements relating to transport. Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Communicate, apply, and enforce company policies. Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members. Ensure compliance with the organisations health, safety and security procedures and contribute to risk assessments and the development of safe systems of work.
