About Joshua Cameron

My latest assignment was as a special project accountant at Companion Management Group, specifically a COVID-19 Accountant. I was responsible for identifying and collating all charges that could be charged against HHS grants and loans for twelve different business entities. In addition to COVID-19 Accounting, I handled other general accounting duties such as AP review, Payroll review, process documentation, process improvement, and other special projects. Prior to that, I worked on assignment as Specialty Restaurant Corporation as a Senior Accountant, performing bank reconciliations and working with both the AP department and General Accounting for credit card reconciliations/billing and process improvements. Before that, I worked at CKE Restaurants for nineteen years. In that time, I worked my way up from a temp keying invoices in the AP department to Electronic File Technician (handling high-volume and high-dollar vendors), to General Ledger Analyst (rough equivalent to Staff Accountant), to General Accounting Analyst (equivalent to Senior Accountant). I worked with Excel daily (advanced functions such as vlookups and pivot tables), created many month-end processes that are still in use today, have assisted with PeopleSoft upgrades from 7.0 to version 9, PUM23, and was the first line of consultation whenever someone on our floor had questions about Excel or PeopleSoft. In addition to my official duties creating journal entries, performing month-end reconciliations, and updating the PeopleSoft trees, I was the unofficial trainer for new software, accounting lead, and was usually tapped for ad-hoc information requests and unusual projects. In short, my time at CKE was an incredible learning experience. I’m not afraid to step up and shoulder additional responsibilities, nor do I shy away at working overtime to get the job done. I’m bright, a fast learner, and an asset at the workplace.
