Background
About Joshua Dawson
As the son of an Ethiopian immigrant and African American, I’m inspired by those who sacrificed more than I ever could – purposing my 4 years at the University of Washington to use eclectic avenues to provide youth the same STEM exposure I’ve been afforded followed by three years of diabetes and health disparities research at the NIH. My experiences have shaped me into a globally-minded citizen fully-equipped to impact the world. As an aspiring physician scientist, I’ll push the bounds of medicine to ameliorate health disparities as I actively inspire the next generation of health professionals to do the same!
