About Joshua Lee

I am a tinkerer, an optimizer, and a maker. Ever since young, I would mess around with a screwdriver trying to fix the broken things around me or at least trying to find out how they work. My "itchy hands" and my thirst for knowledge brought me through Singapore Polytechnic to obtain a Diploma in Computer engineering and landing me a scholarship with SingTel. Currently, I am studying at the Singapore University of Technology and Design to learn more about product design and engineering. I love creating useful things, always looking for new ways to improve the systems around me. An example of this is when I was working with Singtel as an associate engineer. I spotted a bottleneck in my department's workflow and created a reporting system, using my knowledge of SQL and VBA, that analyzed data taken from Singtel's inventory system. I have knowledge of both software and hardware. I am comfortable with Java, C#, and Python, and I am familiar with computer networking, from setting up Linux servers to PHP scripts. I personally own a 3D printer and frequently create things using Fusion 360 to fix or organize my home. Overall, I am interested in sustainable design and upcoming sustainable technologies. I believe the future of humanity is creating circular economies that focus on improving the lives of people all around the world.
