With over 20 years in the Hospitality Industry, my journey as a Chef, Bartender, Manager, and business owner has been enriched by diverse experiences. As an Executive Chef, I had the privilege to curate unique themed menus for whiskey and wine dinners. One notable accomplishment was transforming May the Fourth into a booming Star Wars celebration day at Mara's, achieved through a fusion of themed food and cocktail menus, and a revamped restaurant. This extended to the successful execution of a Lord of the Rings Octoberfest event. During my tenure, Mara's became a prominent choice for non-kosher Jews seeking authentic Jewish Holiday catering experiences. My passion expanded to Whiskey and Agave spirits, leading to a transition into the Alcohol Beverage industry. Working at Total Wine & More honed my spirits knowledge and sales skills. I contributed significantly to driving brand sales, elevating brands like Ian MacLeod Distillers, Alexander Murray Family of spirits, and Tito's Vodka. In tandem with my commitment to Total Wine & More, I've continued to uphold my culinary expertise and organizational acumen through SAFFire Hospitality Group. My responsibilities encompass identifying clients in need of Catering, Private Chef, Bartending, Service, or instructional services. Collaborating seamlessly with my proficient team, we orchestrate events with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional service quality. On occasions, I personally cater to events throughout New York and New Jersey, ensuring an unparalleled culinary experience. Venturing into retail, I've extended the reach of Mara's Southern Kitchen by introducing our signature seasonings, Arkansas BBQ sauce, Salad Dressings, and an expanding array of Pickles through Mara's Southern Condiments. This enterprise has flourished, establishing a presence in Butcher shops and Gourmet Markets across Long Island, including the esteemed Taste NY store at the Suffolk County Visitor Center on I-495. This journey has garnered praise and resulted in the establishment of over 20 new accounts. Beyond my culinary pursuits, I am a distinguished Science Fiction Author, known for my work "Space Age Chronicles: Mars." My creative inclinations extend to other fictional writing projects, which I enthusiastically develop during my limited leisure moments.
