About Joshua McNabb

A dedicated and highly skilled Full-Stack Software Developer with 7 years of experience coupled with extensive knowledge in the oil & gas and healthcare industries, I am passionate about leveraging my expertise to deliver innovative and high-impact software solutions. Over the past several years, I have honed my skills in both intermediate and senior-level roles, specializing in modernizing legacy systems, enhancing user experiences, and leading complex projects to successful outcomes. In my current role as a Senior Full-Stack Software Developer, I lead the overhaul of an oil & gas web application, focusing on enhancing the UI/UX to provide a modern and cohesive user experience. My contributions include integrating new functionalities such as file uploads, invoice creation, and part tracking, as well as improving job reporting capabilities. I have also streamlined data management processes with Excel export functionality and resolved critical issues related to timezones and job data synchronization.During my tenure at Launchcode, as a Senior Full-Stack Software Developer, I progressed from a developer to a project lead, where I worked closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver solutions that exceeded their expectations. Notably, I reduced field data recording time by 50% and mentored junior developers in best practices and tech stack usage. My role also involved a significant frontend overhaul for a healthcare application, where I improved performance and scalability by migrating to open-source libraries and optimizing React components. My earlier experience at Routeique allowed me to build and enhance internal supply chain and logistics software. I contributed to migrating stored procedures from raw SQL to PHP, developed a recurring order system using Laravel, and transitioned legacy frontends from jQuery to React. Additionally, I have worked on client projects, including redesigning a mobile-responsive marketing website for a healthcare company. With a strong foundation in both backend and frontend technologies, coupled with a proven track record of delivering robust software solutions, I am eager to bring my skills to an intermediate or senior Full-Stack Developer role where I can drive innovation and contribute to impactful projects.
