About Joshua Mitchell

As part of my degree, I studied modules of Intelligence, Security and Politics in Britain. This was really interesting to me and made me passionate in this area. Further to this, I am keen to secure a job within the intelligence sector as I believe working in an area of interest makes productivity increase and quality of life a lot better. Analytical work is also my strong point, as a history student I have developed upon this skill as I have to analyse multiple ranges of sources in order to gain a wider understanding of events that have taken place. On specific topic that I enjoyed studying was 'an informed and critical assessment of the impact of the British intelligence community on domestic life'. I was able to research into the work of investigative journalists in providing the public with reliable information about the British intelligence community during the twentieth century, and from this I analysed the information gained in order to conclude with an overall significance of the the journalists within the intelligence community. Away from uni I have been able to develop other useful life skills whilst working part time. As an ambitious person I have been able to gain multiple promotions within the work place which has given me access to lots of training which has helped me to better myself. One of these being communication which is paramount when working as part of a team inside the workplace to gain better results. I have since gained further experience working within planning at the British Transport police where i have been able to develop myself further in the working world.
