About Joshua Morris

Joshua Morris joined HCAM in 2015 as a Certified Navigator in the Connector Program. In this role, he assisted uninsured and underinsured Marylanders in securing coverage through the state’s health insurance marketplace – Maryland Health Connection. By 2017, Joshua was promoted and supervised the program’s efforts in the Baltimore City jurisdiction as a Certified Navigator Team Lead. In addition to his regular job duties, Joshua supported many efforts which include serving as the Chair of HCAM’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and participating as a member of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange’s Individual Subsidy Workgroup and Health Equity Workgroup. As of November 2021, he is HCAM’s first Director of Training, Equity, and Inclusion. Originally from the West Coast, Joshua earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Gender Studies from the University of Southern California. His passion for building bridges between diverse communities through allyship, his dedication to helping others, and his understanding that education must continue to evolve will be great assets towards achieving HCAM’s vision for training, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
