About Joshua Pearse

Living on a farm in Hope, Maine, I have been taught a strong work ethic which I continue to show as a student in Civil Engineering and as a former Student Research Assistant at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center. While working on various large-scale projects, I have been taking engineering classes that are pertinent to a Civil Engineering degree such as statics and strength of materials. All while maintaining a high GPA (3.015) and achieving presidential scholar and dean’s list award status. I am an active participant, former president, and brother in the academic, leadership, and service-oriented fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega. Within this organization, I serve as a leader on the exec board as Chaplain, am a member of the housing and brother communications committees, and have served on social, and recruitment committees over my time of being a brother. As well as recently received a scholarship fund acknowledging my academic and leadership achievements. In addition to being active off-campus, I am a member of the Senior Skulls which is known as an organization representing the top 1% of the senior class in studies, community service, and work ethic, and was a member of the Sophomore OWLs Honors Society which was based on similar values for the sophomore class. I plan to use these experiences as a way to further develop a positive work environment while both having fun and performing at a high standard.
