About Joshua Rogers

My name is Dr. Joshua Rogers, OD, MBA, FAAO— I am a dedicated medical optometrist with nearly a decade of experience in patient care, leadership, and advocacy. Currently, I serve as the Campus Relations Lead for National Vision, where I connect and inspire the next generation of optometrists. Previously, I was the Regional Recruiting Director of the Northeast and an Ambassador for National Vision in 2019. My academic journey began at the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana, where I earned a bachelor's in Integrative Biology. I went on to complete my Doctorate in Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and earned an MBA with a focus on Healthcare Administration from Marshall University. In 2018, I achieved my Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry, and I am a current Diplomate Candidate in Public Health and Environmental Vision. Over the years, I’ve been honored with multiple awards, including Excellence in Patient Care, Extraordinary Patient Case Report, and Doctor of the Year in 2020. I am deeply committed to advancing the field of optometry through active involvement with professional organizations. I am an active member of the American Academy of Optometry, the World Council of Optometry, and serve on the Membership Development Committee of the American Optometric Association. Additionally, I contribute to advocacy efforts as part of the Young Advocates Committee with the New York State Optometric Association. I also proudly serve on the Illinois College of Optometry Alumni Council, supporting the next generation of ICO graduates. Throughout my career, I aim to improve lives through exceptional patient care, mentorship, and advancing the profession of optometry on a global scale.
