About Joshua Sassi

Competing with a pipe band on local, regional, and international levels taught me the value of teamwork from a very young age. My appreciation of the value of teamwork was further enhanced through three years of undergraduate research involving personnel and resources from multiple universities. Whether you stand on the field as a competing bagpiper in a band or work in the field and laboratory as an undergraduate researcher, being able to work well with others as part of a cohesive team is a must. My interest in laboratory techniques and processes related to infectious disease coalesced into a desire to pursue a degree in laboratory science. As a candidate for a Master of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science, I hope to work as part of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic testing and improved patient outcomes.
