About Joshua Seley

I’m Joshua E. Seley — U.S. Navy veteran, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner committed to making a significant impact in every role I take on. After serving proudly in the Navy from 2008 to 2015, I transitioned into civilian life with a passion for leadership and building. In 2019, I founded Deckplate Diesel LLC, a heavy-duty repair business that I grew from a one-person operation into a thriving shop with a strong team and a reputation for excellence. Driven by continuous growth, I earned my MBA from North Dakota State University and am currently pursuing my Juris Doctor at the University of North Dakota School of Law (Class of 2028). This next chapter enables me to combine my military discipline, business experience, and legal training to serve organizations, communities, and individuals better. In addition to my business and academic pursuits, I serve as a Volunteer Employer Outreach Representative with the North Dakota Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), where I work to strengthen relationships between service members and employers. I am also an Area Director for Toastmasters International, helping others develop leadership skills and grow their confidence through communication.
