About Joshua Strong

As a young boy, I first started mowing lawns for family members. Then, my great uncle's neighbors started asking me if I would mow their lawn. That led me to ask the whole neighborhood. This quickly taught me what it takes to sacrifice, to work hard and to secure my own financial future. Those early experiences sparked my desire to empower business owners and employed individuals to feel confident about following their dreams. That path led me to join Edward Jones as a financial advisor in 2017. Mary, our Branch Office Administrator, creates a space where clients feel cared for, comfortable and understood. With families of our own, we understand what people’s concerns are. Therefore, we keep our office with a “family feel” as you partner with us throughout life. My ideal client experience is what I call the “fuzzy moment” in their financial journey – knowing what they want, not quite sure how to get there, and open to a collaboration that will help move them toward their goals. What is most important to you? Knowing this, I ask my clients to bring what I call the triple A’s: 1. Ability to reach their goals. Attitude that values and appreciates the importance of professional advice. A spirit of advocacy to make an impact in their family tree and communities. I have firsthand experience making sure changes in circumstance does not necessarily mean changes in a family's financial health. I have personally dealt with others getting married, having children, divorces, unexpected loss of loved ones, loss of a job, starting a business, suffering from an illness or caring for someone with an illness, among the many other life events that may occur. My spirit of advocacy which led me to helping people through their life events also led me to serving as a member of the Maysville and Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and as a board member of the Cameron Chamber of Commerce, Cameron Rotary Club and North Central Missouri Business Facilitation. As a Chamber, we help build the foundation for a stronger community; Rotary is people getting together to make long lasting change, and NCMBF offers free business consulting to local business startups.
