About Joshua Vickers

Hi, I'm Josh. After a few years aimlessly going for a Criminal Justice degree that I didn't particularly feel a passion for, especially after the last decade of seeing the quality of my future coworkers, I finally bit the bullet and changed my degree path after taking a few years off from college to get my head on straight. I worked for VNE for a few years as their Accounting Clerk/Business Analyst (its incredible how much more professional your title sounds after a merger), mostly dealing with AP/AR, depositing checks, making payments, getting all the little gubbins into the system for invoicing, paying taxes each month, and zeroing out the accounts at the end up each period. Pretty simple stuff, though the type of stuff you cant make many mistakes on before everything implodes. In 2021 after leaving that job I decided to get back on the college grind and have been attending Northern Virginia Community College on the Business Administration track full time. Currently my goal is to finish my associates during Spring of 2023. Beyond the obvious schooling and work, I also have a passion for writing. My long term goal is to be an author and get some of work out to the world for people to enjoy. I considered getting a creative writing degree but I figured I would rather be able to feed myself and work on my art in my spare time.
