About Josiah Blocus

Hello, I’m a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, with a minor in Computer Science, I have earned a 3.2 GPA and am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in the industry. With a passion for sustainable and modular design, I excel in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of designers and builders to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. My areas of expertise include power systems, mechanical engineering, and aerospace engineering, with a particular focus on EVTOL and VTOL aircraft. I am committed to creating and improving sustainable and energy-dense power systems and engines, and possess extensive knowledge and experience in CAD, CAE, FEA, and CFD, having utilized programs such as Ansys- Workbench, Mechanical, Fluid, and Discovery for CAD/CAE in various projects. Additionally, my proficiency in Solidworks, NX 10, Autocad, Fusion 360, and Catia, which I have used in school, research, and personal projects, has been further honed by specialized instruction at my university. With skills in programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python, I have also utilized my expertise to develop research projects and personal programs.
