About Josilyn Parker

Hello! The learner in me. I have completed my Bachelors in Psychology and my Masters of the Arts in Teaching. I currently hold a T5 level teaching certificate and I also obtained two endorsements in Gifted Education as well as Teacher Leadership and Effectiveness. During each experience, I have encompassed a numerous amount of skills to help transform education through leadership, differentiation, technology, project-based learning, and curriculum development. Teaching our geniuses. Through my work in the classroom, I have achieved Teacher of the Year based on growth data, innovation in the classroom, leadership, and the ability to build and communicate through long-lasting relationships. In the classroom, I stressed critical thinking and the incorporation of individualization and all learning styles. The student response was very encouraging, as we had a 120% growth rate on MAP and IReady standards based testing. In addition, by incorporating social and emotional learning into our day, scholars were able to learn various coping skills, and life lessons to help transform their thinking when growing to become a citizen in today's society. I pride my enthusiastic classroom presence and positive learning environments.
